When I read about your woes with the SNS (and even the lact-aid), I had o laugh because they were all too familiar! I certainly have had a love hate relationship with the SNS and feel like I could almost have written this post myself.

My little one does latch on and actually has a pretty good latch. He will also stay on for a bit, but how active he will be and for how long is always anyone's guess. And he has started to get frustrated at times when he can't get the milk as quickly or as much as he would like. So the SNS does help with that, as frustrating as it can be in many other ways.

7 weeks in, I'm trying to stick with it but am pretty much taking things day by day and week by week. Your story was soooo relatable and definitely gives me hope- would love to talk further if you ever have any time.

Thanks! Only yesterday were my eyes opened to my OCD. I have pumped so much my body must thinks I have twins if not triplets. I have tossed out my feeding logs and am trying to space my pumps out so it's not so hard. Your post helped me so much see that I'm not alone and I'm not a horrible person. I was diagnosed with previa this week at my 18 week anatomy scan. I've had 2 sections then a vba2c so the thought of another section after all I went through to have my vba2c is so upsetting. I have contacted a local acupuncturist who has worked with previa moms before. My concern is that my placenta is posterior, covers the whole os, then comes back up the front a bit. The perinatologist wasn't able to visualize my previous section incisions yet (guess my uterus needs to be bigger for that?) so we can't know if I'm in the clear for possible accreta yet either. So, I have this fear that the acupuncture is only effective for anterior placenta previa and that it could actually pull my placenta further up the front thus increasing the previa and the odds that it covers my incisions putting me at risk for accreta. Does that make sense? Clearly I don't fully understand how the acupuncture works to know if this fear is valid or not. I will, of course, discuss it with my acupuncturist but I wondered if you have any knowledge about this. If emailing would be easier I'm happy to provide my email address to you. Thank you again for sharing your experience, it helps so much. I started using Lact-Aid almost a week ago, and wish I hadn't waited this long to start. I don't know how much my supply has increased, but I have been pumping 3 oz in a single night session for 3 nights in a row now - something I was never able to do before!

My question for you: what kind of pumping schedule did you have when you started the Lact-Aid? Previously I was starting my baby at the breast and then bottle-feeding while I pumped, so roughly pumping 8 times a day. Now I'm pumping 4 times a day and using Lact-Aid for all her feedings. I can't seem to find time for more pumps. Do you think this is sufficient?Jennnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5741036541041672560.post-50682421604987333762015-03-17T20:44:02.105-04:002015-03-17T20:44:02.105-04:00I know this article is old but maybe someone has a...I know this article is old but maybe someone has an opinion on this. My son is 8 weeks old and has only pooped once a week for about 4 weeks. His poops are not formed so he's not constipated and they aren't blowouts. I definitely think diet is important so that's why I changed my diet with my second baby. But he poops way less than my daughter did when I was on more of a regular American diet. Here's an example of what I eat every day. Breakfast: two apples. Snack: raw almonds. Lunch: sweet potatoes and eggs. Dinner: broccoli, carrot, cashew stir fry over rice. Snack: popcorn. I rarely eat wheat and sugar. I have meat 1-3 times a week. I eat only organic and the only beverage I drink is water. What's with the kid not pooping?!
Thanks in advance!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5741036541041672560.post-46555552160021531772015-02-04T12:17:42.330-05:002015-02-04T12:17:42.330-05:00Hi Anne just to let you know ..I ordered it at mid...Hi Anne just to let you know ..I ordered it at midday on Friday and it arrived to my door in Copenhagen at 6pm Monday evening. .excellent service..... l was wondering did you ever make a video of how to assemble it or how easiest/best way to clean it.
I did make one mistake when ordering .. I bought a refrigerator storage rack and some extra bag clamping rings thinking that we could premake at least 5bags but now it has arrived it has become clear you need as many training units to be able to store the bags ..I was wondering if you had a solution without having to buy more ..as the import tax was half the price of the whole purchase. At this point, it's still very frustrating! Even when we have a good latch with the tube in place, the milk does not flow! I know it's not clogged because I test it myself, it seems like the tube has to be in such a perfect position for the flow to come through the tube, not to mention it takes us 4-5 times just to get the baby and the tube on my boob while his arms are flailing around or his head is shaking back and forth in search of my nipple. I am going to try to use tape on the next feeding because it just seems like getting the tubing in the right position is proving to be very difficult. I AM very thankful that my baby has not had a bottle and I'm sure I will eventually get used to the Lact-aid as I am almost positive I will never have enough supply to fully breastfeed, but I guess I just needed to voice my frustrations because it really isn't easy yet! Any suggestions or helpful tips would be great, I have an appt next week at birthingway so maybe they can help me.
LindsayKaren Koltranehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06862940038082727788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5741036541041672560.post-38060267065567252642013-12-16T17:28:24.819-05:002013-12-16T17:28:24.819-05:00Please check your blogroll section for:
